Session Summary: The global pandemic has fundamentally changed how we live, learn and work. People have new needs and expectations, requiring shifts in the way we think about buildings and the workplace. Since the pandemic shuttered offices, schools and communities – Steelcase has been doing ongoing research. Partnering with MIT on 8 primary studies in 10 countries, we’ve talked to more than 32,000 people and have analyzed 8,000 floorplans (with 40,000 workstations) and our research is continuing now every quarter across the globe. Speaker Bio: Christian Flanders, FMP With over 23 years’ experience in commercial interiors, Christian Flanders is a nationally recognized presenter on strategic workplace design. Most recently he was a featured speaker at IFMA’s World Workplace Phoenix 2019. Now with the Workplace Solutions-New Orleans, a Steelcase Premier Partner, he was formerly Wework’s Enterprise Building Openings Manager for the Western U.S and Canada. He has delivered engaging workspaces for companies like Google, Facebook, BP, and the NBA. Christian is a career long IFMA member and Past President/Director of the Sacramento Valley Chapter, which has the distinct honor of being named “Small Chapter of the Year” three times. November Luncheon
Event: Hands on Water Extraction & Moisture Testing DemonstrationDate: 11/17/20 (NOTE DATE CHANGE FROM TYPICAL TUESDAY) Time: 11:30am – 1:30pm Address: 2400 Richard Street, Kenner LA 70062 Cost: Professional Members- FREE!, All Others-$20 Lunch will be provided.
We are meeting in person again.. socially distanced of course! We will be able to hands-on use moisture meters to test walls for moisture after a flood event. During this luncheon we will learn how to use water extraction equipment in the event of an emergency.
